MOIC Chicago
This project focuses on designing a cohesive set of 20 icons for the Museum of Ice Cream Chicago, translating its playful and immersive environment into a clear visual system for use across wayfinding, accessibility, amenities, and points of interest.
The icon set is heavily inspired by the Museum of Ice Cream’s signature line-based logo, which informed the overall structure, rhythm, and visual language of the system. This influence is reflected in the consistent line work, fluid curves, and simplified geometric forms that echo the looping, whimsical nature of the brand identity.
Unifying the set while keeping each symbol immediately readable was a key focus, allowing the icons to function effectively in both black-and-white and color applications. The system expands the museum’s branding into a practical navigation toolkit that still maintains a playful, expressive character.
